Dinner Party

Come join us at Hackett House Dinner Party Cooking Classes and learn to cook like the pros.

Come to our home, invite your friends and meet new friends for a dinner of fresh foods prepared and served to you in the comfort of our patio setting.  Local and professional chefs craft a three-course meal exclusively for our guests.  In-between courses, they entertain with a variety of stories and experiences as they demonstrate cooking techniques and tips.  This is the perfect opportunity to get answers to any of those cooking questions you’ve wondered about.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for browsing in the gift shop while enjoying a glass of wine from the complimentary wine bar.  The Chef and the menu du jour is introduced at 6:30 p.m. and the evening festivities usually end at 9 p.m.

Please read the individual class descriptions below for dates, menus, prices, and to register online.

Also, feel free to try some of the great recipes submitted by past Guest Chefs from the Dinner Party Cooking Classes.

with Win Thomas, named 2013 Phoenix Top Home Chef

Win Thomas may indeed be a new name for those of us who are used to reading about the best Phoenix restaurants, but he’s not new to cooking.  In fact, Win was one of 90 competitors in the Arizona Republic’s Home Chef search and as of June 2013, he is known as Phoenix’s Top Home Chef!  Win spends most of his hours by day as a vascular surgeon and many of his evenings cooking for family and friends.  Hmmm, and how did Win even develop an interest in cooking you may well ask.  About 27 years ago, his mother signed him up for a cooking class taught by Vincent Guerithault of the renowned “Vincent’s on Camelback”.  From then on, Win’s interest developed into a passion for cooking.   Join us to sample the culinary skills that earned him the title of Top Chef!
