Geography Bee

Wednesday, February 10, 2016; 9:00am – 11:00am – Tempe City Hall

Held at City Hall every year, the winner of each school’s Geography Bee for grades four to eight competes for the chance to win the overall Tempe Sister City Geography Bee. Everyone is invited.

Valentine Tea

Saturday, February 13, 2016; 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Sign up for a special tea with your loved ones in Hackett House’s historic Friendship Rooms, and you’ll find yourself enjoying a wonderful ritual from a more tranquil time. The cost is $35 per person. Champagne, mimosas and wine are available for purchase. You can also pre-order some of our delicious scones to take home with you! $24.00 for a baker’s dozen and $12.00 for a half-dozen. Flavors vary per tea menu.

Chef Colin Williams Dinner Party Cooking Class

Join Barbecue Master, Chef Colin Williams, who is being joined by Mark McDowell, a friend and guitarist with the Dusty Ramblers.  Aromatic food and music—together on the Hackett House patio.

“Frozen” Children’s  Tea

Sunday, April 17, 2016; 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Come join us for an unforgettable experience, as Hackett House presents a “Frozen” themed Children’s Tea. We always go all out to make our children’s teas amazing for your children.  Delicious sweets and savories will be served. The Story Lady will complete the experience. Costumes are encouraged. Tea is served from 1pm to 3pm and the cost is $30.00 per person. Reservations are required.

Tim Doolittle (aka Tax) Dinner Party Cooking Class

For years, Taz has been teaching others how to cook authentic foods of the world, both at The Dhaba Cooking School in Tempe and his own “Taz Cooks” cooking classes.   And now, he’s cooking a Caribbean meal for us.
